Ten places to explore using the bus

Find out where you can explore using the buses in and around Dumfries.

Cuckoo Bridge Retail Park: Go shopping at the retail park located in North West Dumfries by catching bus service numbers 10 and 12.

North West Dumfries: Use bus service 10 to travel to Lincluden and Lochside to visit the Lincluden Abbey

Heathhall Forest: Take a walk around Heathhall Forest by catching bus service numbers 1 or 2 from various points in the town centre.

Dalscone: Take your family for a day trip to Dalscone by catching bus service 1 or 2 from Dumfries town centre. Services run every 20-30 minutes Monday to Saturday day time.

Ice Bowl & Palmerston Park: Use bus service 9 from Burns Statue to try ice skating or curling at the Ice Bowl, or watch a Queen of the South football game at Palmerston Park.

Peel Centre Retail Park: Go shopping at the Peel Centre Retail Park located along Lockerbie Road using the 81/381 bus service.

Park Farm Showfield: Visit an event at the Park Farm in Troqueer by catching bus service number 8 from Burns Statue.

Kingholm Quay Skate Park: Use service number 6 from Great King Street and the Loreburn Centre to try out skating in Kingholm Quay.

Number 10

Railway Station: Service 1 from Locharbriggs takes you directly to the train station to jump on a train to Gretna, Annan, Carlisle and Glasgow.
